16" Tall Octagon Floor Pedestal w/ 14.5" ID for McKenzie Pre-Fit Habitat
These bases are an exceptional way to display a shoulder mount deer or antelope. Designed to accept the McKenzie Taxidermy FHB143 or FHB141 pre-finished habitats, these bases can be easily outfitted and ready to accept your mount in minutes. They can be made from a variety of wood types, though barnwood, walnut, and dark oak are my prefered choices. They measure approximately 20" across the top trim and 16" tall, with a 14 3/4” ID. I make these "to-order", allowing for specific requests to to be made should you require slight modifications.
While they are made to fit the snow and woodland habitats, they can also easily be outfitted with custom habitat. Should you desire to make your own habitat, please let me know and I can adjust the recess. It is currently ~2.75", but I can make it as little as 1" even or deeper if desired. Price if for the BASE ONLY, no habitat is included.
Shipping on these can get expensive, so please bear with me. I have set a fixed price, and will only charge the actual shipping cost (sometimes less, sometimes more than the $60 quoted). If you overpay, I will refund your money. If you underpay, I will invoice you for the difference. You can also contact me for a quote prior to ordering.

Includes custom trim for exceptional fit and finish. Made like furniture, these bases are constructed to the highest quality and a step above the mass produced versions available commercially.
Once the order is placed, expect shipping in 8-10 business days. I will email you prior to construction, to go over all dimensions and options.
They require no mechnical or artistry to retrofit an existing mount. You simply buy the base from me and habitat form McKenzie, attach a screw to the habitat (I can provide instructions, but it is easy and only requires a screwdriver), and you are all set. A perfect option to update your existing mount.
The barnwood styles will vary in color and wood type. I will send photos of the wood available when you order, to make sure you approve of the tones. I can also add live-edge trim as an upcharge, if desired.
SHIPPING INFO
These are bulky and weigh ~23 pounds. The weight isn't the issue, but USPS, Fed-Ex, and UPS all up-charge for the large box. I will use the cheapest option, and as mentioned, either refund or invoice you the difference. Or, ask for a quote by providing me with your zip code!
